Meet Maranatha Weeks - RN-BSN
Maranatha is a seasoned nurse with over 12 years experience.
Educated at John Abbott College (Quebec) in 2013, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (England) in 2014, and Aspen University (United States) in 2016, she received her Bachelor’s of Science and Nursing and a Diploma in Tropical Nursing.
Her experience and skills were accumulated in the Palliative Care Unit at the Montreal General Hospital, the Hawkesbury General District Hospital Emergency Room, and as a Case Manager for Osteogenesis Imperfecta at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
Following numerous international medical missions as a volunteer, she began working as a Disaster Relief Nurse on-call in 2015 and worked abroad in Uganda, Togo, Haiti, Ecuador, Bangladesh and Iraq. She authored the book “On The Plains of Nineveh: A Nurse on the Front Lines of Mosul” in 2018. She also completed the Harvard edx course “Humanitarian Response to Disaster and Conflict” in 2019, and published her first peer-reviewed article “Disaster Nursing: Taking Your Faith to the Field" in 2020.

Maranatha is now a mom to five children and prioritizes the health and well-being of her kid’s early childhood development. She is passionate about providing a safe, creative, and playful environment to foster warmth and connection.
With a desire to educate and empower others, Maranatha draws on her rich experiences as a nurse and mother to create thoughtful and engaging health and wellness content that will resonate with the reader.
